I have been a Governor at St. John’s since my appointment as Head Teacher in 2003. I came to Barnet as a newly qualified teacher in 1980 and I have worked in six schools as a class teacher, deputy head, head teacher and executive head teacher. As an ex-officio governor I serve on all Governing Body sub-committees.
I am very fortunate to work alongside a talented and dedicated staff team and a knowledgeable and hard-working group of governors who are all committed to the safety and emotional well-being of our pupils and to providing excellent educational experiences for each and every one of them. We want our pupils to achieve to the best of their abilities and to develop as well rounded, happy and confident young people, prepared for all the challenges that the modern world will present. The curriculum we offer and the rich experiences it affords exist to make school an exciting, challenging and rewarding place for children.
