We have worked hard over the years to provide excellent facilities for learning. We are extremely fortunate to have our own swimming pool and a wonderful new outdoor sports facility. Our MUGA (multi-use games area) was installed this summer (August 2016) at a cost of approximately £80,000. Substantial contributions from the Friern Barnet Educational Trust, the Parent Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) and the governing body made this possible. Our pool and MUGA provide year long sporting opportunities for our pupils. No child ever leaves our school unable to swim and all of our children love sport and are keen participants in the sports we offer (see the Sports Grant page on our website for further detailed information).
Our school is also very well resourced and children and staff possess all the equipment they need to support effective teaching and learning. Financial support from the PTFA is of enormous importance. In recent years they have helped us to purchase two minibuses, provided funds for great outdoor play facilities, laptops and a wide variety of other luxury items. They also provide annual support for our sport enrichment and creative curriculum programmes (£5,500 pa).
Our facilities provide the opportunity for us to offer a first class education to all our pupils. Thank you to all parents for the incredible support you provide for all of our fund raising activities and for supporting our maintenance and swimming fund. Your voluntary contributions really do make a daily difference to our children’s education.
