Extra Curricular Clubs

We have always tried to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities for the children. Historically clubs run by outside providers have carried a charge and all other clubs have been free. Given the extreme pressure that school budgets are now under (we too are facing significant funding shortfalls and the budget is projected to run into deficit despite stringent efforts to make efficiency savings where possible), we now have to make a small charge to cover the costs of non-teaching staff who run clubs outside of their normal working hours. Clubs run by outside organisations will always carry a charge. We hope you will understand and support the reasons for this and appreciate that we are determined to continue our wide offer of activities and experiences despite current financial constraints. Where charges are made, it is not possible to refund payments once clubs have commenced should you no longer wish your child to attend.
