Extra Curricular Clubs

We have always tried to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities for the children. Historically clubs run by outside providers have carried a charge and all other clubs have been free. Given the extreme pressure that school budgets are now under (we too are facing significant funding shortfalls and the budget is projected to run into deficit despite stringent efforts to make efficiency savings where possible), we now have to make a small charge to cover the costs of non-teaching staff who run clubs outside of their normal working hours. Clubs run by outside organisations will always carry a charge. We hope you will understand and support the reasons for this and appreciate that we are determined to continue our wide offer of activities and experiences despite current financial constraints. Where charges are made, it is not possible to refund payments once clubs have commenced should you no longer wish your child to attend.

Please register your interest in a club run by an outside provider (‘Born to Move’ & Sports4Stars) with the school office and please contact a member of school staff responsible for running a club to enrol your son or daughter.  Payments and bookings for ‘Born to Move’ and ‘Sports4Stars’ should be made directly to the outside provider.  All outdoor clubs may be cancelled at short notice if it rains on the day (you will be notified by text at the earliest opportunity).
