The PTFA is a registered charity and each year we hold
our AGM. The 2019 AGM will be on Monday 11th February at 8pm in
the school hall.
This is a meeting for all parents and friends of the
school, not just the elected committee members. It is a chance to tell you
about past achievements, the difference the PTFA has made to our children’s
time at school, and what we need to fundraise for in the future. We also elect the key roles of the committee for
the coming year.
This is the time of year when we hope that new parents and helpers will join the committee or volunteer to help in some way. The school desperately needs new people on the committee.
The following position needs to be
- Secretary – circulating agendas,
minutes, meeting dates and general communication
The funds raised by the PTFA are
needed more than ever. The money raised
helps provide enhanced facilities for the school and supports the creative
curriculum and sports enrichment programme. The creative curriculum is the reason that our
children go on so many school trips. Please
consult the calendar on the website to find out more about what’s going on in
school (the ‘Dates for your Diary’ tab provide a full account of the many opportunities
the children enjoy), and how in particular the money we raise makes a real and
lasting difference to children’s learning.
Many of these exciting activities would be impossible without your
continuing support and the money the PTFA provides to the school.
We hope that you will be able to
attend the AGM to find out more about our plans for the future and how the PTFA
can support our needs and new initiatives.
We very much want to continue to organise some
great events to be enjoyed by all and raise money for the school – and we need
more help to be able to do this. Being
on the committee doesn’t mean endless meetings and really doesn’t take up too
much time if there are enough people involved.
If you cannot attend the AGM but are interested in helping out please
let the school office or members of the PTFA know.
